“I am a very nature-loving person and enjoy traveling in the Scandinavian wilderness. For me the reindeer symbolizes the peace, tranquility, purity and independence one finds in nature. The sun is the stylized reduction of the Lapland flag and for me at the same time a symbol of the midnight sun and the mysticism of the Sami. I chose this dotwork tattoo technique because like this the tattoo looks as if it is composed of stars – it has something light and fleeting.”
